• NIGERIA FIRES BACK AT AMERICA FOR SPREADING LIES ABOUT OUR COUNTRY 🇳🇬 ABUJA — TENSION IN THE AIR! The Nigerian government is very angry with the United States. They say America is “spreading false stories” about our country and trying to damage Nigeria’s name in front of the world. What really happened? A foreign report (shared by the U.S. Mission in Nigeria) said that Nigerian governors are wasting money on luxury buildings while people are suffering from hunger and poverty. The report attacked Oyo and Gombe States in particular. But Nigerian leaders are not keeping quiet. NIGERIAN OFFICIALS RESPOND STRONGLY:“This is not the truth. These governors are doing well. They are working for the people,” said a senior Nigerian official. The government believes this attack is not by accident. They think it's because some foreign media asked Nigerian governors to give money to support an event in Ivory Coast — and when the governors said NO, the media decided to attack them. “THIS IS NOT FRIENDSHIP” — NIGERIA WARNS THE U.S. Nigeria says the U.S. is crossing the line — going against international rules that say a foreign country must not interfere in the politics of another country. A Nigerian diplomat said:“This is not journalism. This is interference.” NIGERIANS REMEMBER THE PAST: This is not the first time the U.S. has painted Nigeria in a bad light. In the year 2000, the U.S. predicted that Nigeria would collapse — but Nigeria is still here. In July 2025, the U.S. told Americans not to visit 18 Nigerian states — calling them dangerous and unhealthy. But Nigerians are asking: “Why don’t you talk about the killings and gun violence in Chicago or New York?” Nigeria says it values its partnership with the U.S. — in security, economy, and education — but that friendship must come with respect, not control. Why is America focusing on just a few governors instead of the real problems in Africa? Is it because Nigeria is now working more with countries like China and Russia? Should Nigeria stop allowing foreign missions to speak on our internal matters? Some Nigerians are happy the report exposed corrupt leaders. But others say this is a sign of disrespect to our country. Let’s ask ourselves:
